Here are a few grey wash tattoo’s. one is a simple hook that took about 15 minutes and the other is a skull with ivy. Pieces like this take less time than color and look great when healed.
Here is a color piece. The Crow’s on the tree branch is a piece based on norse mythology Hugin and Munin Two ravens sit on his (Odin’s) shoulders and whisper all the news which they see and hear into his ear; they are called Hugin and Munin. He sends them out in the morning to fly around the whole world, and by breakfast they are back again. Thus, he finds out many new things and this is why he is called ‘raven-god’
Hugin and Munin
Fly every day
Over all the world;
I worry for Hugin
That he might not return,
But I worry more for Munin.
With the new Star Wars movie out I’m looking forward to seeing it with my kids and brother on monday. I grew up heavily influenced by Star Wars. Here are some cool pieces I did awhile back for an art show in boston called art strikes back. It was a collaboration of 37 different artist from all over putting their spin on the franchise.
A fun painting Matt did at The Compass Rose custom Tattoos. A scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dave removing HAL’s memory.
Here’s two new pieces, mostly grey scale with a touch of color, Angel and Gargoyle by Matt Maguire at The Compass Rose in downtown Gloucester.
